ASAT Camouflage links to this blog

© By Othmar Vohringer

Over the past few days I noticed in my blog statistics that ASAT Camouflage has visited my blog up to two times each day. When I clicked on the link it lead nowhere. Then finally on the third day the link worked and I saw why it didn’t work before. ASAT has completely revamped their website and they also added my blog banner as link to my “Close Encounters”.I wrote this article in February of 2006. In that article I tell the true story of a time when I went turkey hunting and had a very close personal encounter with a whitetail buck.

To read the story and find out why ASAT linked to it read the article here. You will read about a once in lifetime wildlife encounter and the reason why ASAT is the camouflage of choice for me for over 15 years now.

If I were ASAT's marketing person I'd link to that article too. It's a great testimonial for their product.

WOW - can't believe that buck nibbled on your camo pants....I must check into this camo. That was nice that ASAT linked you. A good story and you finally got the big buck! Enjoyed reading about it! Marian :)

Thank you Marian. Neither could but there he was and I almost needed a change of pants when I gazed straight into his eyes at no more than a foot distance.

Please check into ASAT. Everyone I told about and went out to purchase as set is simply amazed how many more deer they see.

I've been supremely interested in ASAT since I started doing this blog about a year ago - I found them after just doing a simple search on camo manufacturers - and this article I think just pushed me over the edge...I'm going to have to do something about my "supreme interest" now!

Tom Sorenson – You should look into ASAT. In my opinion there are only two camouflage patterns worth considering, and these are ASAT and Predator Camouflage. This is my blog and so I can be honest. Part of my zoology study involved animal vision. In fact I wrote one of my exam papers on animal vision. So I always knew that the major camouflage brands were not based on how animals see things but rather what hunters like to see in a camouflage pattern. Why you think it is that the major camouflage companies come every year on the market with a new “improved” pattern?

ASAT and Predator are the only two camouflage patterns that have been designed using the knowledge of how animals view their world. Both patterns are around for many years and they never have “improved” the design. I am not saying that the major camouflage brands don’t work, what I am saying is that hunters WILL see more game by wearing ASST or Predator camouflage because they will be truly invisible to the deer.

Bear in mind that I am NOT getting paid by ASAT or Predator to say this.
