Tiger Trout

Eagle Eyes at the Idaho Fishin’ Times posted an interesting article about a rare trout species. The tiger trout is a hybrid between Brown trout and a Brook trout. Tiger trout are aggressive hunters that will pursue smaller fish in shallow waters. Hatcheries introduced this trout in some waters to help control the competing fish species such as chubs. Sport fishers like the tiger trout for the good fight they put up and because they are still rare.
